Hey Darlins.....did ya'll see Tim Fleck's INSIDER column last week?
Wasn't that a hoot! NOBODY can tell a story like Tim....
But some information has come Housnitch's way concerning Mr. Ronald Green that we felt we just HAD to share with ya'll before you go vote.
First piece is a copy of a lien placed against Mr. Green's home there on Parkwood. We found it on file in Beverly Kaufman's office.
Knowing Mr. Bettencourt, and the listeners at KSEV like we do...we sincerely doubt ANY OF THEM would have even considered recommending ANYONE to cast a vote for Mr. Green if they had known he hadn't paid his company's taxes.
Another strange thing we noticed while looking at Ronald Green's campaign expenditures was an item we found on page 27:
We want our readers to be very clear...WE do not know if Mr. Green used his political funds to pay the IRS his COMPANY taxes...or whether or not he has paid his campaign worker's taxes with political funds... But it does look kinda funny to us.
While it is not unheard of...it is RARE that employees in a political campaign have their taxes paid. MOST campaign workers are "contract labor" and are paid a flat fee.
Did Ronald Green pay his company taxes with campaign funds? We don't know either...and of all the businesses WE CONTACTED...we were told they send their taxes to AUSTIN...not Memphis. We did place 6 calls to him asking for an interview...all we received from him was a call from a gentleman saying he was his brother Larry. "Larry" promised his brother Ronald would respond...4 days...no response...you decide..
We can tell you that Mr. Green is carrying two mortgages on the Parkwood home and another two on a home in Missouri City where we were told his Mother lives.
The question Tim put to you all was whether or not Mr. Green was a Republican or a Democrat....According to Public Data.Com Mr. Green has no voting record..(they cover 1994-1998)
Beverly Kaufman's office says Mr. Green registered to vote in Harris county in 2000.
He has voted in general elections, the Election for Constitutional Amendments, we just had, and two Democratic Primaries.
YOU THINK LONG AND HARD BEFORE YOU VOTE GUYS...WE TRIED TO ASK MR. GREEN...BUT HE WON'T SAY!!!!!!

WE DON'T THINK BERT'S DUMB....We think he has made some human mistakes, and he has NEVER lied to us either, and HE ALWAYS returns our calls, and ALL of his taxes and bills are paid up! AND He's saved the taxpayer's money by staying on-top of contracts and catching fat in them. WE NEED THAT EXPERTISE back for another 2 years to help clean up this mess Brown is leaving us.
