During the first year of ole Leepy's reign back in 1998, there was a scandal in the local employees union....#1550. Ms Willie Faye Cole, as Executive Director of that Union...was FIRED. Ya see guys, Ms. Cole took off to Las Vegas and spent Union Funds for gambling & some personal items not associated with the convention she was attending...
LET'S LOOK AT THAT CHRONOLOGY A MINUTE...
I know ya'll are saying...OK Housnitch, so Willie Faye Cole stole money from the City Employees Union back in October of 1998...what's that got to do with Ole Leepy Lee?
Well, darlins....ole Leepy Lee put her on City payroll!!!!!!!! Don't believe us?....Look right down there at the City employee's alpha list.....11/2/98....just hired her for a favor, no specific job...just helped out a buddy who turned out voters! (even though an admitted thief)
A caught and admitted thief, and she makes more than 2 of those 5 police officers on this list...i ask you....is this RIGHT???? It is according to Leepy Lee and his people!

NOW...How do we know that Willie F. Cole is Faye Cole?....well her voter's registration has the same birth date...can't be too many of those Willie Faye's out there.

I heard on a radio show the other day that the new
football stadium is already $275,000,000 OVER BUDGET,
and there is 10 months of construction left. They said
the Mayor is aware of this and is waiting until the
election is over before he breaks it to the public
that the City & County will have float new bonds
to cover the shortfall.
You might check around. If we can confirm this, we
might help derail MR. Brown's re-election. You are
really doing a great job. I send my condolences for
the passing of your daughter.

I guess I understand how you
could be upset with my Local 341, choosing to endorse a
Republican (gasp!) and a Cuban one at that, over the
Democrat Mr. Bell.
After all, it's not like we've
ever been royally SCREWED by a Democrat - especially one
we endorsed, right!
By the way, is Mr. Brown a
Democrat or a ... oh, right!
I mean, Democrats fell into line
lock-step to pass our HB 818 (minimum manning on all
fire apparatuses) in Austin this past legislative
session, right? Is that why it failed so miserably? I
thought the Dems controlled the House here in Texas.
We endorse Mr. Sanchez for the
obvious reasons -
1) He IS Hispanic, and probably because of that has the
best chance of any of the candidates of stealing
minority votes from Brown, or at least consolidating the
Hispanic voting bloc.
2) He has been the most vocal candidate regarding our
issues. I'll be honest with you, our issues are pretty
important to us, just as your issues are important to
you!
3) We can't endorse Brown. We endorsed him last time and
he stabbed us in the back. He already hates us. He can't
hate us any worse if we don't endorse him.
4) We're tired of getting SCREWED by Democrats. We
decided to give a Republican a chance. Variety is the
spice of life!
5) Carroll Robinson decided not to run (and I smell a
political rat - are the people supporting Brown this
time going to throw their support behind Robinson next
time for "playing ball"?).
I completely understand your
unhappiness with us right now, but we made the best
choice we could based on the candidates' responses to
our surveys and questionnaires from our screening
committee. I respect your opinion. This time, on this
issue, we just disagree.

When the Lord was creating fire fighters, he was into his sixth day of overtime when an
Angel appeared and said, "You’re doing a lot of fiddling around on this one."
And the Lord said, "Have you read the specifications on this person? Fire fighters have to be able to go hours fighting fires or tending to a person that the usual everyday person would never touch, while putting in the back of their minds the circumstances. They have to be able to move at a second’s notice and not think twice of what they are about to do, no matter what the danger. They have to be in top physical condition at all times, running on half-eaten meals, and they must have six pair of hands."
The angel shook her head slowly and said, "six pair of hands…. No way."
"It’s not the hands that are causing the problems," said the Lord, "It’s the three pair of eyes a firefighter has to have."
"That’s on the standard model?" asked the angel.
The Lord nodded, "One pair to see through the fire and where they and their fellow fire fighters should fight the fire next, Another pair here in the side of the head to see fellow fire fighters and to keep them safe. And another pair of eyes in the front so they can look for the victims caught in the fire who need their help."
"Lord" said the angel, touching his sleeve, "rest and work on this tomorrow."
"I can’t," said the Lord, "I already have a model that can carry a 250-pound man down a flight of stairs to safety from a burning building, and can feed a family of five on a civil service paycheck."
The angel circled the model of the fire fighter very slowly, "Can it think?"
"You bet," said the Lord " They can tell you the elements of a hundred fires and can recite procedures in their sleep that are needed to care for a person until they reach the hospital. And all the while they have to keep their wits about them. Fire fighters also have phenomenal personal control. They can deal with a scene full of pain and hurt, coaxing a child’s mother into letting go so that they can care for the child in need. And still they rarely get the recognition for a job well done from anybody, other then from fellow fire fighters."
Finally, the angel bent over and ran her finger across the cheek of the fire fighter. "There’s a leak," she pronounced, "Lord, it’s a tear. What’s the tear for?"
"It’s a tear from bottled-up emotions for fallen comrades. A tear for commitment to that funny piece of cloth called the American flag. It’s a tear for all the pain and suffering they have encountered. And it’s a tear for their commitment to caring for and saving lives of their fellow man!"
"What a wonderful feature, Lord, you’re a genius," said the angel.
The Lord looked somber and said, "I didn’t put it there."
Just a note
to let you know that HPD's Mounted Patrol has been
told to relocate. Apparently Mr. Robert Elkins,
who manages his rich family's holdings, has enough
stroke to get Parks Director Spellman to evict the
horses from their home of 16 years. It was Mr.
Elkin's wife's family who donated the property some 50
years ago. They would rather have the property
vacant and wooded, so he does not have to see the West
Loop when he visits his Houstonian Health Club.
He does not believe the site is "park
like."
Mounted Patrol has approximately 2500 visitors, mostly
children, a year who come to feed the horses, picnic,
and learn about the Unit. Sounds like a
"park" to me. How many will visit the
"park" when they leave? NONE!
Way to go Elkins! It took 16 years to build the
facility with the sweat and blood of many HPD
officers, all done with the approval of the
Parks Directors and Police Chief. Why is this a
big deal to you? Do you have other plans for
this prime piece of property?
Hey!...YOU guys endorse Brown EVERY TIME...ask him WHY
he sold ya'll out!

THIS EDITOR IS EXPERIENCING SOME HEALTH PROBLEMS ....IN FACT I WILL BE HAVING AN OPERATION AT LBJ HOSPITAL ON THE 26TH OF OCTOBER....and will be outta commission for a few days...
