HOUSNITCH

Well, dear readers, we are a day late---but we had some cussing & discussing to do. Overall we liked Mr. Fleck's column. http://www.houstonpress.com And we've taken over 11,000 hits in 5 days---so we're not doing too bad!!!

We do take exception to his defense of Mr. Herbert Lum---but we know that he had to show BOTH sides....and we have to admit that those of us who know better are more solidly committed to seeing HOUSNITCH continue so, we can thank Tim for that......

With that said----let's look at the following letter from Sue Schechter, Harris County Democratic Party Chair.......This little jewel came to us via our mail box....housnitch@aol.com and for the record---it did not come from Councilmember Todd's office.....)

As we said before----after Mae Walker's debacle in preparing a pamphlet for the mayor-----shouldn't some one have used spell check on this document? .......and such poor work coming from a former legislator!!

And it does not stop with just the letter...how about the following....WE cannot believe that the Harris County Democratic Party actually passed THIS resolution.

As you can see---we have graded Ms. Schechter....and these papers need to be re-done...... SUE---------------Ever heard the expression..."HOUSTON READS TO LEAD"?----how can you LEAD....if you cannot READ? Or write, or spell????? WHO wrote your legislation for you as a State Representative?

How are your resolutions to be taken seriously---if they are presented in such a fashion? We understand they caused quite an uproar in the aides pool on the councilmembers' office floor.

You ought to check to see what you're signing Sue...we'd be ashamed to have our name on a document like this---as lowly city employees, we would be reprimanded---consider this your reprimand.
